my great grandmother passed away today. at a ripe old age of... i dunno. 100 i think. it's around there. and so the family saga continues. blogged previously that if i were to write a drama plot about them.. it would have 100 episodes. from then till now.. it's probably 200 episodes alr. seriously.. im gg to write a story on it. not now.. but soon. after i quit my job. it's just for record sake.. cos it's said that one should not dry their dirty linens in public. i remember my principal used to say it when we're in secondary school. haha.why am i blogging like nothing has happened? that's just cos i really feel like nothing has happened. or maybe too much has been happening that this is just another chapter of the story? haha. have nv been closed to my great grandma. she's just someone i visit every chinese new year. but not after she's been sent to the home. before she was sent to the home.. she was alr about 90 plus. and she was still conscious of the things that are happening around her. but after staying in the home.. and as she age further.. it's apparent that she's not as alert as before. she doesnt recognise pple anymore. but the interesting thing is that though she cant recognise pple.. she remembers the past clearly. like the days she brought her grandchildren to school.. etc etc. it's a wonder how the brain works right? and it's really a feat for someone who has lived close to a decade to be semi-conscious. she has two sons, with only one left. she has 6 grand children.. 1 gone. she has 8 great grand children, including myself. and one great great grandson. how many pple actually has this kinda chance? to have a great great grandson. hah.for me, i dun wanna live till old.. till you are not able to take care of yourself. till you need to depend on others for your daily life. till.. pple finding you a burden. it's really a harsh reality. i heard that she was a fierce lady. in fact, i've seen it for myself. i've seen the way she talked. it's really loud and full of energy. even though she's like how many times our age. the other time at the hospital.. she screamed at the nurses.. scolded them for touching her privates. hahaha. she's a tough woman, real tough. they said she would ride in her bicycle in the olden days from one far end to the other end, carrying some heavy stuff with it or whatever. she's fierce not only in her words.. but actions too. haha. i remember i heard them saying that there was once she'd wanted to take the umbrella to hit someone. lol.i think i will remember my great grandmother.but the sad thing is.. i think she love her kids much more than her kids love her. maybe not kids.. just that particular one. hur hur.let me end off with this piece of dirty linen.. which is funny for the wrong reason.earlier this week.. the doctor called her son (yar.. try to link his r/s to me) and said that her organs are failing.. and said the famous phrase "her days are numbered"and from what i gathered.. he spoke to him in english.. or maybe broken chinese.. which he doesnt comprehend. so he asked the doc.. “去世了?”and i think the doc cant speak good chinese or cant understand chinese or that his chinese was too bad for the doc to understand.. the doc said "yar" and so.. he.. called the undertaker and started to make arrangements like the tents and all.. all without the intention to see her for one last time. and it turned out.. she's not gone yet. so, he called the undertaker.. and cancelled whatever arrangement. how outrageous. sighs.. now i cant tell pple i still have a great grandmother. hehe.
i pray that she will rise to heaven and watch over us.her life.. now in past tense..
